Loot shall be given first to dedicated members and to main class over none main. For example, I as MNK get MNK lootover someone who just uses MNK a few times, however, i feel as if it's fair, to go by what classes have attended that event aswell. For example, if someone goes MNK, where i do not, they have loot rights over me. This would mean people dont go as their off class but loot for their main.
To also be fair, if you claimed a item for main or off class, and another items drops for the opposite class, your loot rights go under the other in need.

I hope this seems fair and want to hear all your thoughts.

Hmm I think that people could set what jobs they prioritize maybe because people are obviously going to have to play jobs they don't enjoy as much at some point. Although I know that way would be complicated to sort out :s

a good base. but you need something abit more static to follow. though that cant really come into play until we have a fair few more members involved in events, so it will do for now at least.

but yeah:
jobs used in event loot > main class loot > off class loot

naturally you got to be more strict when it comes to higher regarded jobs, such as whm gear or tanking gear. but it also means those people who go for those have no right to go for other pieces.

when it comes to more widely wanted gear, such as DD gear, it should come down to dice rolls out of 100, until we find another concept such as a simplistic point system perhaps

In my experience point systems can be very dodgy, and can leave people feeling cheated.

to answer dragonmaster. thats why i suggested the point system.

good example to why thats useful would be Iku, who always does stuff on whm but only does so due to its huge use over the other classes he uses, the points could then just be stored and used when iku finally gets a drop he wants, doesnt end up feeling left out that way

dragon that happens when the point system is stupidly done and not simple.
just something like 1pt for every event you attend is simple enough to keep track of to avoid that happening

I was mainly talking of Primal loot, As each is to a set class, rarther than role.
But it still stands to other gear, main over off, attended class considered aswell.

Isn't Primal Loot specific to each person? xD

Lucius Kai replied

it is. you cant trade out primal loot, well you might be able to in 2.0

But i do think that those who are able to attened more, should not be held higher than other members, who may not be able to attened as much. But to keep in mind, the amount of times a person atteneds without gaining loot, making them more deserving of the item.
